A WORD IN YOUR EAR

Thanks to American Technology Corp. you might happen to be the only one in the crowd hearing the sound of a soda can opening and the fizz from the ice-filled glass it’s being poured into. ATC’s HyperSonic Sound projectors have the marketing world abuzz. http://www.forbes.com/global/2003/0915/108.html

The HSS emitter is a man-portable speaker that produces two simultaneous sounds that you can only hear if you are standing directly within the target area of two to three feet. This technology, able to target a single individual across a crowded city street or bustling movie theater lobby, gives marketers the chance to “whisper in the ear” of their potential customers without anyone around them being disturbed by the noise.

This technology isn’t solely for civilian use. The United States military and private boating communities have heavily invested in the development of this technology as a “defensive” weapon. The intense sonic waves produced by the HSS can emit painful, debilitating levels of sound at a target over 100 yards away. Some, including the British government, have denounced the device as “tortuous” when used in this fashion. The technology has been shown to cause spontaneous diarrhea, seizures and excruciating migraines in its victims. While no tests have concluded that this device could be lethal, it’s theorized that through seizures or sonic disruption of internal rhythms, it would be possible to use this device to kill someone, albeit gruesomely. How can we be sure that this technology hasn’t fallen into unscrupulous hands, and can we defend ourselves against such an unseen weapon?

    It already has

    Peace

Dude, you are right, from what I have heard about the world elite, the hands that this technology is in are definitely unscrupulous and already very bloody. All the people need to do is know it exists. Then all we would have to do is ignore all the sounds that come from no concrete source. It might force people to stretch themselves by means of focus and discipline, but it would be time for us to rise up and do something to truthfully improve ourselves anyway. The only shame would be that we would be forced to do it to survive the social manipulation that such a device is obviously capable of. It would be better if we were not forced to do something drastic to only survive socially, rather to improve ourselves in our responsibility. Peace!

I hear that it has not. But then, can I be sure of the truth of what I have heard?

    Hearing things
